Physician Assistants for Health Freedom (PAHF)

We are a "special interest group" within the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Our members belong to varying political parties and hold different religious and philosophical positions and yet we all agree that freedom and liberty should be the long-term aim of all political policy. Though we may not agree on how to exactly accomplish these ideals, we agree on most of the goals listed below. Go to the Join tab to see membership criteria and to possibly join.

Our Goals

  • To improve the vitality of quality health care in America
  • To promote free market solutions for health care. And thus to protest the corporate, union and individual distortions of markets through government manipulation
  • To promote individual responsibility required for effective health care
  • To promote freedom of choice in medicine for all citizens regardless of social class, ethnicity, or sex

Member Benefits

PAHF is a growing group. We are excited about roles the organization may have in the future. For now, the membership benefits start out simple for an organization which asks no dues. The benefits include:

  • E-mail notification of news, activism opportunities, learning material, and group activities
  • Forum Participation: Networking for PAs who wish to support Health Freedom
  • Opportunity to contribute to our webpages. We need volunteers to read journals, news and other blogs to find pertinent info for our members which the can directly enter into our blog.
  • Participation in group meetings at AAPA meetings
